Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technologyis a University under the State Act of Gujarat. The DA-IICT wasestablished in Gandhinagar in 2001. It is the only advanced institutenamed after the Late Dhirubhai Ambani, the founder of Reliance Group.

On30 November 2004, the DA-IICT, as a private university was included inthe list of universities maintained by the University Grants Commission.

The Institute is a non-affiliating university and does not receive any aidor other financial assistance from the Central or State Government.

The campus of the college has housing facilities for the students and the faculty within the campus. It also has internet connectivity in the entire campus. The college as per its reputation provides excellent placement to its students.
