Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology is a University under the State Act of Gujarat. The DA-IICT was established in Gandhinagar in 2001. It is the only advanced institute named after the Late Dhirubhai Ambani, the founder of Reliance Group.
On 30 November 2004, the DA-IICT, as a private university was included in the list of universities maintained by the University Grants Commission.
The Institute is a non-affiliating university and does not receive any aid or other financial assistance from the Central or State Government.
The campus of the college has housing facilities for the students and the faculty within the campus. It also has internet connectivity in the entire campus. The college as per its reputation provides excellent placement to its students. Some of the recruiting Universties include, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, Accenture, WIPRO, Sapient, HP, Infosys, Sasken, NVIDIA, and the like.
