Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agriculture University (SDAU), Dantiwada, Gujarat was formerly known as Gujarat Agricultural University(GAU). SDAU in Sardarkrushinagar is one of the prestigious state agricultural universities in India. Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University was established for the development of agriculture including animal husbandry and allied sciences in the state of Gujarat. It was formed out of Gujarat Agricultural University (established in June, 1972) that was converted into four different universities by Gujarat Government through Gujarat Agricultural Universities Act 2004. the University is recognized but not funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

SDAU offers courses in numerous disciplines related to agricultural sciences. The faculties, which run specialized centres, impart undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD level education under semester system.

SDAU is offering education under UG, PG, diploma and certificate levels of programs in the following faculties of education:

ASPEE College of Home Science & Nutrition
  • Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Home Science
  • Master of Science in Home Science with specialization in:
    a. Apparel Designing
    b. Textile Designing
    c. Post harvest technology
    d. Dietetics and Catering Management
    e. Interior Designing
    f. Institutional Housekeeping
    g. Organization and Management of Early-childhood Programmes
    h. Special Education

The University also offers certificate course in the following subjects:

For admission to these certificate courses, candidates must have completed their SSLC with not less than 55% of marks. The university also offers several research and instructional facilities to the staff members and students with a view to bring about development in the field of agriculture.
